City Tutorial and 1.0.2 Update

Daggerfall Tools for Unity 1.0.2 is now available. This version completely overhauls the DaggerfallSky component. Skies are now more flexible, working in both Forward and Deferred paths. Skies will thread-load data and allow for dynamic changes at runtime.

The City Basics tutorial is also available from the Tutorials menu page. Please update to 1.0.2 before running this tutorial.

One more quick item. Below is a preview of the the world time feature scheduled for release 1.1 in a few weeks. I will post more about this soon.

  1. Smooth and sweet as usual 🙂

The only problem I get is when tit come to the sky…its doesn’t appear correctly when I attached it to an empty child….Don’t really know what I did wrong there but I counter it by attach to sky to the city. Other than that ,everything fine. I’ll wait for your other tutorials 🙂

May I suggest that you post all your work to some place like MODDB…I think you deserve way more publicity than you have right now and this community will love to see and try your godly tools ( And how easy it is to actually use them 0_0 ).

I’m sad than to not see someone way more experimented than me try something nice with those tools of yours.

As usual great work and thanks for the work mate !

  2. Thanks for the feedback! Not sure about the sky, could be a bug or a mistake in my tutorial. Would you be able to zip up your project and email it to me? I’ll see if I can work out the problem.

MODDB is a good idea, I didn’t think of that. I’ll setup a page when 1.1 is out in a few weeks. 🙂

  3. Sorry I didn’t save my file this time…I try to recreate the issue but it turn out that it work good…don’t know what I did wrong last time but whatever work like a charm now.

Looking forward to see your post on MODDB 🙂
