Daggerfall Tools for Unity is a developer tool that helps Unity devs easily work with Daggerfall’s assets in a powerful modern engine. A cool side-effect of this is that it becomes possible for Unity devs to not only create a remastered Daggerfall for multiple platforms, but new game experiences in the same world and style.
Combine this open-source toolkit with literally millions of Unity developers, and I believe a remake will grow organically out of the community. At the rate things are moving, I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t at least a partial remake within the next 12 months.
